(TSX ENTURE: I)(B LAC: I) is pleased toreport positi e metallurgical test results or the San Jose sil er-goldproject located in Oaxaca, Mexico. A program o comprehensi emetallurgical testing conducted by Metcon Research, o Tucson Arizona, has been in progress since October 2008. Main open lotation circuit orbatch lotation tests ha e been concluded on multiple samples or twotypes o sul ides mineralization in the Trinidad area, which hosts theSan Jose resource. Highlights o the open circuit test results include:- Open circuit lotation tests using water rom a potential water source or the project returned reco eries o 88 or both sil er and gold.- Open circuit lotation tests produced high grade commercialconcentrates with 99 g/t gold and 12,306 g/t sil er.- Regrind o rougher concentrate increases concentrate grades to 135 g/tgold and 17,130 g/t sil er.- The abo e mentioned results were obtained with a standard grind size o 80 passing 74 microns. Additional tests are being carried out at coarsergrind sizes o 105 and 149 microns.- It is estimated that closed circuit lotation tests will impro e metalreco ery inal results are scheduled or mid ebruary.Mr. Jorge Ganoza, CEO o the Company, commented, "We are extremelypleased with metallurgical results to date. It is clear that we canproduce a high grade sil er-gold concentrate or sale using standardgrind and lotation processes and technology.

We plan to ha e a inal low sheet design along with equipment selection by the end o irstquarter."Metallurgical tests ha e been conducted by Metcon Research, o TucsonArizona, on sul ide mineralization samples, taken rom drill core andcore sample rejects, or arious lithologies o the deposit including;hydrothermal breccia, bonanza ein, Trinidad ein, Paloma ein. Opencircuit tests consisted o simple grinding to P 80 - 74 microns, rougher lotation, ollowed by regrind o rougher concentrate and two staged lotation cleaning. The only mineral depressant applied is neutral sodiumsilicate with standard lotation collectors. The process is ree rom theuse o lime or cyanide. The San Jose Project is being explored and de eloped under a joint enture between ortuna (76) and Continuum Resources Ltd (24).

InAugust 2008, ortuna and Continuum announced an agreement whereby ortunawill acquire all o the issued and outstanding securities o Continuum(see ortuna's news release dated August 14, 2008).
